Details

Funding allocations awarded to individual local highway authorities and mayoral combined authorities for the period covering 2020 to 2026 for:

  • Highways Maintenance Block (HMB)
  • Potholes Fund
  • Integrated Transport Block (ITB) – 2026 figures not yet published

An additional £15 million funding for highways maintenance was awarded to 39 councils in England, through the Traffic signals maintenance scheme, in August 2021.

An additional £50 million to fund traffic management systems maintenance and upgrades was awarded through the Traffic Signals Obsolescence Grant and Green Light Fund, in March 2024

The previous allocations of 2015 to 2021 were released in 2014.
