Details

The HIV Action Plan monitoring and evaluation framework reports measure progress towards England’s long-term commitment to end HIV transmission by 2030. These annual reports specifically focus on the interim ambitions of England’s HIV Action Plan 2022 to 2025 to reduce HIV diagnoses first made in England (by 80%), AIDS-defining conditions diagnosed within 90 days of HIV diagnosis (by 50%) and HIV-related deaths (by 50%) between 2019 and 2025.

Most of the data in these reports was included in the official statistics published in October of the same year. However, these reports interpret the information in relation to the HIV Action Plan. Across 5 themes, each covering a key aspect of HIV prevention and care, these reports present trends for indicators that can be used to identify and address inequalities, and include additional information such as estimates for the number of people living with HIV (diagnosed and undiagnosed) and new HIV infections.
