Details
These documents outline how ecological impacts have been assessed and how they will be mitigated or compensated for during the construction of Phase One of HS2 between London and the West Midlands including the:
- approach for managing excavated material and waste that will arise from construction
- approach to assess and mitigate the impact on water resources and flood risk
- effects of HS2 Phase One on roads and public rights of way (PRoW) along the line of route will be managed
- assessment and treatment of contaminated land
- approach to assess and reduce as far as reasonably practicable the impact on archaeological remains that could result from construction works
- scheme’s resilience and capacity to cope with potential climate change impacts
- carbon footprint and greenhouse gas assessment
