This improvement notice requires Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council to take steps to improve its children’s social care services.
It follows a 8 May 2019 report by Ofsted which judged the overall effectiveness of children’s social care services provided by Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council to be inadequate.
The above letter has been issued to Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council. It outlines the principles which the Department for Education has agreed in response to a request for flexibilities from the local authority to enable it to deliver the requirements of its improvement notice, while responding to the challenges of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
