Details

This briefing note provides further information on clauses 17 to 19 of the Infrastructure Bill as introduced in the House of Lords on 5 June 2014:

  • allowing the examining panel of inspectors to be appointed immediately after an application has been accepted (clause 17)
  • allowing the examining panel to comprise 2 members (clause 18) and
  • changes to, and revocation of, development consent orders (clause 19)

This note provides further information on all 3 clauses, but focuses in particular on clause 19 (changes to development consent orders) where the government is proposing to consult on changes to secondary legislation in July 2014.
