Use the IHT411 with the IHT400 to give details of any shares or stock owned by the deceased.
Before you start
Make sure your browser is up to date.
You’ll need to fill in the form fully before you can print it. You cannot save a partly completed form so we suggest you gather all your information together before you begin to fill it in.
The Inheritance Tax account (IHT411) form is interactive (one that you complete on screen) and you must use Adobe Reader to complete it.

The '£0.00' figures for ‘Total value of stock at date of death’ in sections 1 and 2, have been removed.

The IHT411 form has been updated to include a link in the section 'When to use this form', for information about listed shares and securities HMRC does not recognise. 'Personal Equity Plans' has been removed from the 'Listed stocks, shares, and investments that did not give the deceased control of the company' section, and information about 'foreign shares' has been updated to include 'other UK exchanges'.
