Details

Use these templates to inform hospitals or accident and emergency departments about a child with an inherited metabolic disease:

  • glutaric aciduria type 1 (GA1)
  • homocystinuria (HCU)
  • isovaleric acidaemia (IVA)
  • medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MCADD)
  • maple syrup urine disease (MSUD)
  • phenylketonuria (PKU)

These documents include instructions for the hospital to follow if the child is presenting any symptoms.
