Dear

Re: Freedom of Information Act 2000

Thank you for your email of 02 February in which you requested from the Insolvency Service:

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide me with full answers to the following questions:

  1. How many people, including full-time, part-time and temporary employees, are currently recorded as being based at your main office, either by having a desk or a security pass or any other metric that you use?

  2. Of these, how many were recorded as having entered the building on the following days:

a. Monday 6th September 2021

b. Monday 13th December 2021

c. Monday 24th January 2022

Your request has been dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

I can confirm the agency holds the information that you have requested and I have provided answers to your questions below.

Please note that the Insolvency Service currently has 22 offices throughout the country. Our HQ is located in Stratford, London but our Main office according to staff number is in Birmingham.

As of 27 January 2022, 403 employees are based in the Birmingham office.

  1. Of these, how many were recorded as having entered the building on the following days:

I have provided figures from our building access system (BAS) below.

a. Monday 6th September 2021

We do not hold this information – our current BAS was not installed in our Birmingham office until October 2021. During September, office attendance was being monitored manually however these records were only stored for 14 days.

b. Monday 13th December 2021 - Birmingham Attendance - 67

c. Monday 24th January 2022 - Birmingham Attendance - 67

If you are not satisfied with the response we have provided you and would like us to reconsider our decision by way of an internal review (IR), please contact our Information Rights Team at [email protected] or by post at:
