Details

The guidance brings together information on Legionnaires’ disease from Public Health England and other organisations to:

  • set out roles and responsibilities for public health investigation and enforcement
  • highlight specific considerations for investigation of potential sources of infection in healthcare, travel and community settings, both for single cases and clusters/outbreaks
  • provide a framework for a standardised approach to an investigation which can be adapted to the individual scenarios in public health
