Is work good for your health and well-being? This review looked for the answer to this question by collating and evaluating the scientific evidence on the health effects of work and worklessness.

The review focused on adults of working age and common health problems that account for two-thirds of sickness absence and long-term incapacity. It includes scientific evidence from a variety of disciplines, methodologies and literatures.
