United Kingdom Labour Market Enforcement: annual report 2020 to 2023

Details

This is the 2020 to 2023 annual report from Margaret Beels, Director of Labour Market Enforcement (DLME).

It assesses labour market enforcement in the following Labour Market Enforcement strategies:

The annual report sets out:

  • an assessment of progress made against implementation of the recommendations from the 2020 to 2021 and 2021 to 2022 Labour Market Enforcement strategies, both submitted during Matthew Taylor’s tenure as Director of Labour Market Enforcement
  • an assessment, as far as possible of the effect on the scale and nature of non‑compliance in the labour market
  • a statement of activities relating to the director’s information hub undertaken in the reporting period

In Margaret Beels’ 2022 to 2023 interim strategy published in March 2023, there were no new recommendations but it re-emphasised several of Matthew Taylor’s earlier recommendations.
