This letter was sent to responsible officers in awarding organisations.

In December 2014, Ofqual announced that the Qualifications and Credit Framework regulatory arrangements (QCF rules) would be removed in the summer of 2015.

This letter explains the effect the decision to withdraw the QCF rules will have on how Ofqual describe the scope of awarding organisation’s recognition. It also sets out plans for confirming the scope of awarding organisations recognition because of these changes.

You can read about the regulatory arrangements for the QCF rules in this publication which is referred to in the letter.
