Details

The local authority insight research aims to discover how local authorities administer benefits and gather their points of view on current issues. Wave 32 of the research includes findings from qualitative interviews with 25 local authorities and covers:

  • Discretionary Housing Payments – help from the council for Housing Benefit claimants having difficulties meeting their housing costs
  • Universal Support – local support to help people move to Universal Credit
  • the reduction in the backdating period for Housing Benefit claims

The research was carried out by NatCen Social Research.
