Details

The Local Family Offer was developed from an evidence-based understanding of the importance for child outcomes of supporting current and prospective parents. This research aimed to build learning and best practice on how local authorities can support parental relationships.

We have used the findings and lessons learned from the Local Family Offer to develop our new Reducing Parental Conflict Programme. Through this programme, we will support English local authorities to introduce services and approaches to reduce parental conflict into mainstream provision.

This evaluation report will provide local authorities and their partners with insights into the successes and challenges experienced by the local authorities participating in the Local Family Offer.

Authors: Francesco Arzilli, Kate Lager, Hazel Tetsill and Michael Berry on behalf of the Family Analysis team at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and Anisah Kaleemullah, Kate Warner and Ailsa Redhouse (DWP).
