Details

Localising Council Tax support is part of a wider set of reforms to the welfare system. Councils will design local Council Tax reduction schemes for working-age applicants that will also support the wider objectives of welfare reform.

This revised version updates the original document published in May 2012 and aims to help practitioners understand the statutory framework and develop approaches tailored to the needs of their particular communities.
