Background to the low carbon truck trial

The low carbon truck trial was launched in 2012 to support UK road haulage operators in buying and using low carbon heavy goods vehicles. £11.3 million funding from the Office of Low Emission Vehicles and Innovate UK (formerly the Technology Strategy Board) has been awarded via competition. A number of the successful projects commenced vehicle trials in 2013 and 2014.
