Details

This research proposes applying a multi-modal approach to rail appraisal for train models and stations, which was developed by the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS) at the University of Leeds.

The research comprises 2 parts:

  • the ‘multi-modal approach’ to user benefits in new mode contexts
  • a peer review of multi-modal appraisal methodology

It was commissioned by ITS and John Bates Services on behalf of the Department for Transport, as part of the Restoring Your Railway fund.
