This document sets out the results from a survey which asked employees about their views of the national living wage.

TNS-BMRB carried out a survey of 1,263 workers through face-to-face in-street interviews across the UK. All workers surveyed were eligible for the national living wage; they were employees aged 25+ earning less than £7.20 an hour and were not apprentices in the first year of their apprenticeship. Fieldwork was carried out between 14 November and 8 December 2015.

The sample was structured to allow separate reporting by English region or devolved nation. Quotas were set by age and sex in line with population data on workers eligible for the national living wage. The data was weighted by region to be representative of workers eligible for the national living wage across the UK.
