Details

Agreement letter, dated 12 January 2015, from the Secretary of State for Transport to Sunderland City Council about the proposal to build a new bridge over the River Wear.

It is proposed that the bridge would be between the Wessington Way and Castletown Way roundabout and the Woodbine Terrace and Pallion New Road junction.

We have also published a decision letter, approving a number of orders, and an inspector’s report from 2012.

Sunderland City Council applied for this scheme under the Highways Act 1980.
