NTE 2021/11: action taken on licences issued for Afghanistan
Published 10 September 2021
Further to Notice to Exporters 2021/10, and in light of the situation in Afghanistan, the Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) has completed a review and reassessment of all extant individual licences which authorised direct or indirect supply of controlled items to Afghanistan.
A number of extant licences were found to be no longer consistent with the Consolidated EU and National Arms Export Licensing Criteria. These have been revoked.
The review was completed in August and all of the licensees have been notified.
