NTE 2022/09: General Trade Licence Russia Sanctions - Vessels

Following the coming into force of the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) (No. 6) Regulations 2022, the Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) has published a General Licence permitting the provision of technical assistance, financial services and funds, and brokering services relating to vessels.

This licence is a temporary measure which will address a shortcoming in the regulation.

The licence comes into force on 17 March 2022. Any person seeking to rely on the licence must register online via SPIRE within 30 days of their first use of the licence.
