NTE 2022/15: data availability on the strategic export controls reports and statistics website, 1 October to 31 December 2021
Published 25 April 2022
The strategic export controls: licensing statistics (official statistics) and strategic export controls reports and statistics website (searchable database) have recently undergone some changes.
These changes allowed data to be published on standard individual export licences (SIELs), processed via the new licensing system, Licensing for International Trade and Enterprise (LITE). LITE is currently in use by a small number of beta users.
Some data from the 55 licences processed in LITE for Q4 2021 (1 October to 31 December 2021) will be unavailable in the searchable database. We are currently considering how to resolve this.
The following types of data will be missing in relation to these 55 licences:
- SIEL end user types
- firearm quantities
Data on processing times for Q4 2021 may be incomplete or inaccurate. This is because some LITE cases are not included in the searchable database’s calculation of median processing times.
For complete Q4 2021 data on firearm quantities and processing times, check strategic export controls: licensing statistics: 1 October to 31 December 2021.
For the quantity and impact of licences processed in LITE for Q3 2021 (1 July to 30 September 2021), check NTE 2022/02: changes to export licensing statistics.
