Details

Orphan works are copyright works where one or more right holder is unknown or cannot be located. The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) can issue a licence to allow these works to be used. If you are, or think you might be, the right holder for a work that the IPO is considering or has licensed, you can contact the IPO. This guidance explains how the orphan works licensing scheme works and what you need to do to get in touch with the IPO.
