The application to confer powers of compulsory acquisition on Network Rail has been approved. This would be for the purpose of acquiring land and rights to facilitate improvement and upgrade works to create a new western entrance to Oxford Station, additional railway track and platforms, new rail bridges, highway improvements and associated works.
