The PACE Code C 2019 has been superseded by a newer version of the code that came into force on 20 December 2023.

This revised version of PACE code C sets out the requirements for the detention, treatment and questioning of suspects not related to terrorism in police custody by police officers.

It has effect from 21 August 2019 and it was revised following a statutory consultation.
