Ask for a refund or reallocation of charges paid relating to returns and reports submitted using the Pension Schemes Online or Managing Pension Schemes services.

If you’re a pension administrator or practitioner, you can request a refund or reallocation of charges paid for pension schemes that are in the Pension Schemes Online service or a reallocation on the Managing Pension Schemes service.
Request a refund — Managing Pension Schemes service
You can request a refund in the service if you have an overall credit balance on your account.
The credit balance on your financial information will be reduced when your refund has been processed.
Request a refund — Pension Schemes Online service
You can request a refund if your account is in overall credit. You do this by downloading and completing the ‘Request a refund of a pension scheme payment’ spreadsheet, then sending it to HMRC.
You can send the completed spreadsheet by printing it and then posting it to:

Request a reallocation
If you have made payments that have not been allocated correctly, you can ask for them to be reallocated to other charges on the same account by downloading and completing the ‘Request a reallocation of a pension scheme payment’ spreadsheet, then sending it to HMRC.
You can either send the completed spreadsheet:
- in an email with ‘Reallocation request’ in the subject line to [email protected]
- by printing it and then posting it to:
