Peter J F Stovold Farming Partnership has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 28/39/30/0161 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Wey at Eashing Farm, Godalming, Surrey, at National Grid Reference SU 95092 44323.
The variation applied for is to increase the maximum quantity of water to be abstracted each year for the purpose of filling a reservoir for subsequent trickle irrigation from 41,085 cubic metres per year to 99,974 cubic metres per year. The maximum hourly and daily rates of abstraction for this purpose will remain unchanged at 73 cubic metres per hour and 900 cubic metres per day. The annual limit on the maximum quantity of water to be abstracted for all purposes on the licence will be increased from 82,000 cubic metres per year to 140,889 cubic metres per year.
An additional reservoir will be constructed to support these proposed changes.
