The Complainant alleged breaches of section 71(1)(b) of the 1992 Act and Union Rules J1.1a and J8.1 in relation to the application of the union’s political fund. The complaints of breaches of section 71(1)(b)and Union Rule J1.1a were dismissed on withdrawal by the applicant. The Certification Officer upheld five breaches of rule J8.1, which were conceded by the union, and dismissed two further alleged breaches of rule J8.1. No order to remedy these breaches was made as the Union had already undertaken remedial action.
