Details
To align with the Post Office (Horizon System) Offences Bill we now use the term ‘redress’ rather than ‘compensation’ when referring to payments made through the schemes being administered by Post Office and the Department for Business and Trade.

'Horizon Shortfall Scheme (HSS)' section updated in all Post Office Horizon financial redress data updates to specify that the Horizon Shortfall Scheme is open to eligible claimants who suffered a Horizon-related shortfall.

In the November 2023 data, £15.5 million in interim payments to original claimants for the £83 million paid out on the HSS includes was corrected to £15.2 million.

The data for GLO (full and final) claims received and offers made, previously included partial claims. This has now been amended to only count full and final claims.

September 2023 data for Group Litigation Order Scheme (GLO) and Overturned Convictions (OC) amended. GLO: the number of offers made for Overturned Convictions Pecuniary was previously incorrectly listed as 12. This was due to an error in the data provided to the department. The correct number is 10 and this has been updated accordingly. OC: the number of Initial Interim Payments, Claims Paid was previously incorrectly listed as 477. This was due to an error in the data provided to the department. The correct number is 473 and this has been updated accordingly.
