Details

Learners with high levels of need are defined as those with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities who require additional support to help them progress and achieve. This publication looks at how well further education and skills provision meets the needs and interests of young people aged between 16 and 25 with high levels of need.

An earlier report, Progression post-16 for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, looked at transition arrangements to post-16 education and into adulthood. It found that these were not fully effective.
