PPN 02/12 contains guidance relating to the procurement of ICT products and services where there is a possibility that the whole life cost could exceed £100m. The Cabinet Office Structural Reform Plan stated that this guidance, which was a coalition commitment, would be published and implemented across central government.

This PPN contains a foreword by the Minister for the Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, advising how this guidance should be implemented and highlighting the benefits and implications of this new approach to procuring ICT.
