Details

The Government Construction Strategy aims to change the relationship between clients and industry. The trial projects perform a central role in delivering the strategy’s sustainable 15 to 20% reduction in costs.

This report covers the initial collaborative approach taken by the Ministry of Justice for the design, construction and maintenance of a 2,100 place prison on a site in the Wrexham Industrial Estate. This project will use a 2 stage open book model, alongside building information modelling (BIM), Project Bank Accounts and Government Soft Landings.
