This document contains the following information: Protocol established by the Council, in accordance with article 34 of the Treaty on European Union, to the Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Member States of the European Union: Luxembourg, 16 October 2001.

The UK instrument of adoption was deposited on 15 March 2006 and the Protocol entered into force for the UK on 13 June 2006. The Protocol was previously published as EC series No. 3 (2002) Cm 5603.

This Command Paper was laid before Parliament by a Government Minister by Command of Her Majesty. Command Papers are considered by the Government to be of interest to Parliament but are not required to be presented by legislation.
