Details

The public transport ticketing schemes block exemption was due to expire in February 2016. This document assesses the costs and benefits of options in response to its expiry.

The exemption allows transport operators to enter into agreements with each other to share information and revenue. This means that passengers can purchase a single ticket for journeys that may involve more than one transport operator.

The exemption was subsequently renewed for a further 10 years.
