Scorecard report by Business in the Community (BITC) monitoring the performance of UK employers against the 6-point roadmap for success, as defined in the McGregor-Smith review ‘Race in the workplace’ in February 2017.

The 6 point roadmap is as follows:

  • gather data
  • take accountability
  • examine recruitment
  • change processes
  • obtain government support
  • raise awareness

The scorecard report, sponsored by BEIS, is based on a YouGov sample survey of 6,506 respondents.

The report contains a number of calls to action for business, seeking to help remove barriers to ethnic minorities entering the workplace and achieving their potential at work. It contributes to the Industrial Strategy goals of boosting productivity and achieving greater earning power for all.
