This document is the government’s response to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee report of 28 April 2017.

Regenerative medicine involves replacing or regenerating tissues or organs in the human body, in order to restore or establish normal function. Examples include stem cell therapy, gene therapy and tissue engineering.

The response shows how the government is working to create an integrated environment that allows the delivery of therapies and supports the development of a world-leading regenerative medicine industry in the UK.
