You can apply online unless you live in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

You can get help to make your online application if you are in the UK and you do not have the appropriate access, skills or confidence to complete an online immigration application form.

Use this form if you live in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and are a British Overseas citizen, British subject, British protected person, or British National (Overseas) and have no other citizenship or nationality.

You can also use this paper form if you live elsewhere and want to apply by post. You will need to submit your documents with your application.

Most people who live in the UK and apply online are able to keep their documents while their application is processed.
