Details

This Ofsted survey report is written for religious education (RE) teachers and leaders and headteachers in both primary and secondary schools.

RE makes a significant contribution to pupils’ academic and personal development. It is also important in promoting social cohesion and the virtues of respect and empathy, both of which are important in our diverse society. However, the potential of RE was not being realised fully in the majority of the schools surveyed for this report.
