know.space, in association with Digital Science, was commissioned by the UK Space Agency to conduct an independent, detailed bibliometric analysis of publications linked to UK Space Agency funding. The objective was to provide the UK Space Agency with a better understanding of the nature and impact of the research funded by the Agency.

The analysis identified over 3,000 global publications linked to UK Space Agency funding, generated by more than 4,100 unique researchers over the 2010-2020 period.

On average, 7% of publications linked to UK Space Agency funding placed in the global top 1% across all disciplines in a given year, 25% in the top 5%, and 38% in the top 10%.
