Respiratory diseases can have a substantial impact on quality of life and are responsible for 13.6% of all deaths in Yorkshire and the Humber.

This report examines respiratory diseases across the life course for the Yorkshire and Humber population, highlighting examples of good practice, as well as opportunities for improvement in both primary prevention and disease management.

These diseases include:

  • asthma
  • chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • tuberculosis (TB)
  • pneumonia
