Interim report

This interim report summarises the findings so far on the review of employee benefits and expenses project, as well as identifying some potential ‘quick wins’. The report also sets out proposals for the focus of the next stage of the project and how you can feed in your thoughts.

Autumn Statement 2013 update

In October, the OTS published a progress report on the ‘quick wins’ identified in the interim report. In his letter to the OTS following the Autumn Statement, David Gauke MP gave a further update on these proposals to improve HMRC’s administration of employee benefits. Four have already been implemented, a further nine are due to be implemented in January 2014 and eight by May 2014.

Please email the OTS with your general thoughts and comments on the expenses and benefits review
