Details

These reviews cover updates to the cost and technical assumptions for the following technologies eligible for the Contracts for Difference (CfD) renewable deployment scheme:

  • onshore wind
  • solar photovoltaic (PV)
  • energy from waste (EfW) with combined heat and power (CHP)
  • advanced conversion technologies (ACT) with combined heat and power (CHP)

The evidence drawn from these reviews will inform a forthcoming update to the Department’s Generation Costs Report.

However, prior to this, the evidence has been incorporated in the development of auction parameters for the previous CfD Allocation Round 4 and now CfD Allocation Round 5.
