Details

Last year, the Cabinet Office asked former Minister, Rt Hon. Lord Maude of Horsham, to carry out an independent review of the Government functions and Cabinet Office spending controls.

This report contains recommendations on how to improve the cross-government functions which are critical to driving reform activity within the functions.

The publication of the report follows the launch of the government’s own Declaration on Government Reform, which was published in June.

Read the 2022 Progress Update for more information on how Lord Maude’s advice is being taken forward.
