Details
This revised direction requires the council to work with the Commissioner towards the establishment of a wholly-owned council company for the delivery of children’s social care services in Worcestershire.
It follows an Ofsted report that judged the overall effectiveness of those services to be inadequate.
An independent report by the Commissioner for Children’s Services in Worcestershire recommended that the council develop an alternative model of delivery for children’s services.
This direction has closed and a direction issued by DfE on 3 August 2018 replaces it.
