Details

These are RSH’s first set of equality objectives following a successful transition period to being a standalone entity in October 2018. They were finalised following a statutory consultation between January and March 2020.

The objectives have been mindful of

  • our statutory obligation to be proportionate and not to inappropriately increase the regulatory burden, and our co-regulatory approach to regulation

  • the applicability of our general equality duty in our day to day work.

We considered it most appropriate for our first equalities objectives to focus on areas where we can have the most immediate impact, namely:

  • points where we interact with tenants (objectives 1 and 2)
  • the organisational culture we create (objective 3).

We will review these objectives within the mandatory 4-year period and we will also keep these under review if our role changes or if we identify further areas which would benefit from setting equality objectives.

RSH reports related to equality and diversity can be found on our Equality information and pay gap reports collections page.
