Details

The position statement and supplement provide recommendations from the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) on dietary reference values (DRVs) for energy and macronutrient intakes for different groups of military service personnel.

This follows a request in 2014 from the Institute of Naval Medicine, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, for SACN advice on DRVs for energy for those military roles and/or activities where there were energy expenditures that were different from general UK population subgroups.
