This summary concerns the grounding of the stern trawler Brothers with loss of 2 lives after the watchkeeper fell asleep, highlighting the grave dangers associated with long working hours and fatigue, and the advantages of voluntarily supplying and fitting an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) and a liferaft with a hydrostatic release unit.
