This report, published by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES), examines recent changes in the digital and creative sector and outlines future skills issues.

The research looks in depth at five key occupations:

  • IT business analysts, architects and systems designers
  • programmers and software development
  • graphic designers
  • arts officers, producers and directors
  • photographers, audio-visual and broadcasting equipment operators

It uses a mixed methodology including data analysis, a literature review and in-depth interviews with employers and sector organisations as the basis for analysis.

Also included with this publication is an executive summary, and infographic presenting the findings contained within the report.
