Details

This sentinel surveillance study began in 2002 with the aim of gathering information on testing for hepatitis C within sentinel laboratory services, to inform local and national healthcare planning and help reduce incidence and prevalence.

It has since been expanded to cover all regions and to include hepatitis B and A; since 2010, hepatitis D and E, and since 2011 HIV and HTLV testing.
