Details

EDF is proposing to build a new nuclear power station next to Sizewell B in Suffolk. Its:

  • stage 3 public consultation ran from 4 January to 29 March 2019
  • stage 4 public consultation ran from 18 July to 27 September 2019

These documents set out the Environment Agency’s general comments about the main development site and associated development sites.

These responses do not represent the Environment Agency’s final view in relation to any future Development Consent Order application. They are provided without prejudice to its decisions on any applications made for environmental permits.

The Environment Agency’s final view will take account of information included in the application and relevant guidance available at that time.

EDF must apply for and obtain relevant permits from the Environment Agency before Sizewell C can be constructed or operated.
